Since 2005, GUP has aimed to connect communities around contemporary art and documentary photography. Both online and in print, GUP produces compelling articles and other critical forms of writing related to the broad and dynamic spectrum of photography and the visual arts.
Issue 64 focuses on silhouettes, a form of abstraction, a deduced entity, of which we can recognise only the most basic shape. Inside we see Polish snowscapes (Kacper Kowalski), prints enhanced with gold leaf (Carolle Bénitah) and kaleidoscopic impressions of late-capitalist university spaces (Andrea Grützner) amongst other well established and emerging talent.
