Between Borders has set out to create a platform of open expression, discussion and dialogue, establishing a narrative of inclusivity rather than exclusivity in 21st century Britain. The emphasis of this platform is sharing and collaboration. BB wants as many voices heard as possible, as many stories told as possible, the more we share, the more we open-up, the closer we become.
In the debut issue on Transit, Between Borders interrogates the day-to-day: the first cars and beaten-up bangers, the hopped train fares, the journeys home, but also the subcultures that garner a sense of identity from their relationship with travel, from bikers to steam train fanatics, petrolheads and football fans. This issue offers a peek inside the rituals and relationships surrounding movement and travel, up and down the country.
