Selvedge is a magazine that acknowledges the significance of textiles as a part of everyone’s story. From why we love the sound of a needle pulling thread through taut linen, to why we are fascinated by the clothes we wear and the fibres we unknowingly rely on. Selvedge is dedicated to finding and nurturing textiles from every angle believing that textiles unite all humanity and in surveying the development of society it is clear that textiles appear as the protagonist.

In this issue we indulge our love of wool through our exploration of the Nordhordland Biosphere Reserve around Bergen on the west coast of Norway, an area dotted with mills. Calling back to Nordic style, it's cosy interiors all the way to IKEA's Wonderful Everyday, there is no denying an innate sense of style. This issue examines Nordic roots in chalky Gustavian use of colour, and the celebration of natural materials: wood, wool, linen, and leather. A great edition.
